About the Founder

My name is Noah Richard, 22 years old, and a recent graduate of Syracuse University. I’ve always had a knack for sports growing up and gravitated mostly towards hockey.

In the fifth grade, I played a lot of street hockey and even joined a small league. It was that passion for the game that led me to desire creating a place for people to play too. With the help of my parents, we successfully organized a game that featured most of my extended family.

Shortly after that, I kickstarted my career on Vine just exploring a new hobby until they took the application down. That is when I unconsciously transitioned to Instagram. Two to three times a week until college, I would post promotional videos of professional sports leagues to generate excitement for people online.

During my junior year of high school, I decided to establish a billiards club. In our first year as an organization, I successfully convinced enough people to not only join, but also to journey off campus with me on a weekly basis to the closest place that had a table available. The organization was a tremendous success as it grew to be the most sought after club on campus. During my senior year, my cabinet and I raised enough money for a pool table so we could play on school grounds. I can proudly say that my legacy lived on as the club remains in tact today.

At Syracuse, I enrolled in the Visual and Performing Arts pursuing a study of Art Video. In addition, I joined the Blackstone Launchpad Organization that specializes in kickstarting aspiring entrepreneurs like myself. I quickly found out what I was going to do with my life and have made every effort since then to turn Goodnight Folks into a full fledged business.
